Glycation is one of the processes of post translation for proteins by carbonyl, and its end products are called Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs). It is reported that AGEs are increased not only by aging or diabetes, but also by inflammation and oxidative stress.

AGE

AGEs standard

  • CMA : Nω-(Carboxymethyl)-L-arginine (#CMA-102 for 2 mg / #CMA-105 for 5 mg)
  • CML : Nε-(Carboxymethyl)-L-lysine (#CML-105 for 5 mg / #CML-110 for 10 mg)

AGEs-BSA standard

  • CML-BSA (#892405)

    CML amount is quantified by HPLC. Usable as a standard for ELISA.
    A part of lysine in BSA is carboxymethylated by glyoxylic acid.

  • CEL-BSA (#892406)

    Carboxyethyl Lysine (CEL) is the AGEs, which has a similar structure to CML.
    In the living body, methylglyoxal reacts to lysine then CEL is produced.
    CEL amount is quantified by HPLC. Usable as standard for ELISA.
    A part of lysine in BSA is carboxyethylated by pyruvic acid in this product.

  • AGEs-BSA (#AGEs-BSA)

    CML amount is quantified by HPLC. Usable as a standard for ELISA.
    AGEs-BSA standard, glycated by glucose.
